A man who drove a fuel tanker into his estranged wife's house in Wool has died after serving just five months in prison.

It's believed that 52-year-old Hugh Billington died of natural causes in hospital on the 21st June.

Billington was due to carry out a seven year sentence after he pleaded guilty to the offence which happened in January this year.

A Prison Service spokesperson's told Wessex FM that "As with all deaths in custody there will be an investigation by the independent Prisons and Probation Ombudsman."
