Shadow Environment Minister Visits Weymouth Foodbank
11:14am 7th July 2012
The Shadow Environment Minister has come to Weymouth to take a look at our local foodbank.
Labour MP Mary Creagh has spent the day away from Westminster to meet volunteers who keep the centre running.
The foodbank helps families who're struggling to put food on the table.
Yesterday, a new study revealed a growing number of children are going hungry. Around one in four parents say they know of a child in their area affected. The poll was conducted by parenting website Netmums and the charity Kids Company.
Shadow Minister Cray says that summertime is a key time for foodbanks.
