MP Fights To Stop VAT On Fuel For Air Ambulances
12:05am 15th July 2012
South Dorset's MP says it's common sense that Air Ambulances shouldn't have to pay VAT on fuel.
Richard Drax is asking Revenue and Customs to consider making them all exempt from the charges.
Currently, those run by a charity are charged VAT on fuel- that can cost as much as £100,000 a year.
Richard Drax says it's not about money; it's about saving people's lives.
