Olympic Security Fences Come Down Tonight on Portland

Work to remove Olympic security fences on Portland gets underway tonight (Wednesday 12th September 2012).

Victoria road will be shut completely from 9.30pm so the metal structures can be removed from the Sailing Village.

It'll re-open again early the next morning at 7.30am.

Castle Road will be closed between the same times Thursday night as work continues.

A signed diversion route will be in place along Lerret Road, Mulberry Avenue and Liberty Road.

650 sailors and Officials lived in the Sailing Village during the Games.
