There's been a serious crash involving a powerboat in Weymouth Bay.
The craft was in the final of this afternoon's racing event.
An eye witness has told Wessex Fm News it happened around 2.45pm.
The boat flipped over, throwing the pilot and navigator out.
No other boat was involved.
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter were called to the scene.
Here's the statement from organisers P1 Powerstock:
An incident occurred during the powerboat race in Weymouth this afternoon. A race boat rolled over and its driver Mike Lovell and navigator Dan Whapples were thrown clear of their boat. The race was immediately stopped and the medical team recovered the crew from the water and brought them to the pontoon beside the quay. Both Mike and Dan were evacuated in the air ambulance and taken to Southampton General Hospital.
A further statement will be issued once information about the condition of the crew is known from hospital.
