8:28am 21st September 2012
The Charborough Estate near Wareham's opening children's eyes to agriculture today.
Its annual open day, part of South Dorset MP Richard Drax's 'Kids to Farm initiative', is taking place, having been postponed from the summer term due to bad weather.
Since the event started in 2008, hundreds of children have attended to learn about rural skills including bee keeping, forestry, game keeping and deer management.
Mr Drax says its truly exciting to be able to show children how living off the land forms a vital part of our lives in this country.
Individual schools have visited there since 2005.
