Can You Help Find a Statue that Was Stolen from Burton Bradstock?

Stolen Statue, Bridport

11:46am 18th October 2012

A Bridport pensioner has had his classic Roman styled statue stolen from his front garden!

Thieves took it from outside his home on High Street, Burton Bradstock last Friday (12th October 2012) in the early hours of the morning just before 1am.

The heavy statue is of a half-naked woman and is about 5 feet tall.

The owner reckons it was taken off in a car which he heard speeding off when it disappeared.

Police Constable Sean Cannon, of Bridport police, said: “I urge anyone who has information about this incident, or may have seen something suspicious to contact us as soon as possible on 101 in the strictest confidence.

“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered this item in strange circumstances, seen it for sale or found it abandoned.”

Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 12:0023
