Ramblers Stumped By Cuts To Rights Of Way Budget

Tourism, the economy, our physical and mental health could all suffer after Dorset county council cut their Rights of Way budget by more than 20%.
That's the claim by The Ramblers, who say these effects are in addition to it damaging people's ability to get outdoors.
They say it will lead to more paths being impassable, leaving councils an even bigger maintenance bill before opening them again.
Ramblers are not just targetting Dorset amongst authorities in the South West. Devon, Cornwall and South Gloucestershire have made similar cuts according to figures released from a Freedom of Information Request. Gloucestershire County Council cut their ROW budget by a third.
