Man's Nose And Jaw Broken In Unprovoked Attack

Police are looking for witnesses to an 'unprovoked' assault in a Dorchester bar early yesterday morning (Sunday 28th).

A 40 year old local man was left with a broken jaw and nose after the incident at the Apple Tree in Trinity Street.

Officers have arrested a 36 year old man from Dorchester, who's helping them with enquiries.

They're asking anyone who saw what happened at around 1.30am to come forward.
Detective Constable Andy Marsh, of Weymouth CID, said to WESSEX FM: "This incident took place in a bar in Dorchester town centre.

"There will have been witnesses to this alleged assault, and I am very keen to speak with anyone who may have seen what happened.

"The victim suffered serious facial injuries as a result of this incident, and I would encourage anyone with any information to contact Dorset Police."
