Staff and Students from a Weymouth School are taking refuge in Boston for a second night to let superstorm Sandy pass through New York.
The group from the All Saints Church of England School are stateside on a field trip to the Big Apple.
A statement on the Schools website says:
"Staff, students and friends of the school are enjoying their trip. Plans have been rearranged slightly to ensure that all remain safe and well and out of the reach of the weather's excesses. The travel party will remain for a further night in Boston, rather than proceed to New York as originally planned."
All Saints are not the only local School to be affected; students from Budmouth College Sixth Form were forced to postpone a trip to New York because of the superstorm too.
