Fishing Boat Attacked In Weymouth
9:23am 22nd November 2012
A Weymouth fishing boat has been forced to halt sailings after vandals wrecked its engine.
The vessel named "Amanda Jane" was moored in the Harbour opposite Mallams on Trinity Road when the attack took place sometime between 6:30pm Saturday 17th and 1:30am the next morning.
Damage was caused to the cooling hose, fuel injectors and electrical wires.
The fishing boat is a distinctive bright yellow colour and Dorset Police has said the damage "could have resulted in a very serious situation had the boat set to sea".
Officers are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 101.
