Own A Celebrity Sketch
5:42pm 26th November 2012
What do you think David Cameron has in common with Daniel O'Donnell?
They've both contributed sketches to Dorset Wildlife Trust's Wild Art Auction.
Each celeb was asked to draw an animal or plant of Britain - but starting with a personal print - which could be from their finger or even their foot!
Fiona Sansom, Supporter Development Manager at Dorset Wildlife Trust, said: "The celebrities were asked to make a sketch of an animal or plant of Britain, starting with their finger/foot/toe/nose or even ear print and the results range from a charming footprint duck by Prunella Scales to a striking fingerprint cow by Robin Cousins. Our first week's auction has just ended, with Susan Hampshire coming out on top with her lovely thumbprint flower, followed by Fearne Cotton and Gina McKee. Thank you to all of them and to everybody who has joined in the auction so far."
Fiona added: "This fundraising event will help to fund vital conservation work in Dorset and we are very grateful for the support of all the celebrities. The drawings are still coming in and each one expresses the character of the star who took the trouble to create them."
The Wild Art Auction will continue over the winter, with all proceeds going to protection of Dorset's wildlife. To see a preview of all the drawings, visit http://dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk/celebritywildart
