After using a living room for ten years, a West Dorset village has been awarded funds to help build a new post office.
The villagers of Toller Porcorum formed a Community Land Trust earlier this year and have been trying to gain funding for the post office and affordable housing ever since.
They have been kindly donated land free-of-charge by a late trust member, Vanora Hereward.
The village gained £87,000 from the West Dorset District Council and are currently working with a Housing Association.
On the 15th of January the Toller Porcorum Community Land Trust will be holding a public meeting to explain their plans to the Community.
