Speak Out Over Borough Budget Plans!
6:04pm 17th December 2012
If you have ever wanted to have your say on how council money should be spent, now is your chance to have your voice heard.
Weymouth and Portland Borough Council are calling for residents to say what they think about the proposed budget for 2013 and 2014.
The proposals will outline how the council aims to deal with the serious reduction of money available. It is estimated that they have to spend at least £3.9 million less by 2019/20.
Councillor Peter Chapman says there are many extremely difficult decisions to be made: "The council has hard choices to make and is very limited about what it can actually do to address the financial situation it finds itself in."
The public have until January 20th to fill in a questionnaire here or paper copies are also available at the Council's North Quay office reception.
All feedback will be reviewed and before it is debated at the Management Committee in February.
