Business Plan To Save Weymouth Pavilion
8:56am 4th January 2013
Campaigners are drawing up a formal business plan that they hope will be enough to save the troubled Weymouth Pavilion.
Proposals include opening up the venue to more entertainment professionals and traveling shows like west end productions.
It's hoped nearby local businesses like cafes, restaurants and B&B's will benefit too.
A strong volunteer support network is also outlined in plans.
The Save the Pavilion group will present their ideas to local councillors who've earmarked the site for demolition to make way for what's understood to be flats.
The decision of the future of The Pavilion Complex lies solely with local Councillors.
The Management Committee will make their recommendations which will then be passed to Full Council for review.
