Three Female Led Businesses In Weymouth Join Forces

9:31am 10th January 2013

Female entrepreneurs in Weymouth are joining forces for a combined promotion.

Acqua Beach Hotel on the Esplanade run by Charlotte Weaver will be the setting of a photo shoot for Heavenly Bump - a local maternity wear company run by former New Look workers Kirsty van Deurs Goss and Amy Kate Crane.

The pictures for their spring summer line which will be on sale in Tesco are being taken by Lara Jane Thorpe Photography.

"It's a fantastic opportunity to show case Bar Acqua, Heavenly Bump and Lara Jane Thorpe Photography to the national media as three female led local businesses", said Charlotte Weaver, managing director at Acqua Beach Hotel.  "I'm delighted to be able to provide the venue for this location photo shoot - and to be shown on Tesco's website - it's incredible!.... I hope it'll lead to more photo / film shoots in the future, it's a great way for the bar to be promoted in a rather unorthodox way!."

All three of the companies are run by local female entrepreneurs with experience of working for much larger businesses.   Both Kirsty and Amy Kate spent 12 years each at New Look; Lara Jane was with a number of large fashion retailers for 20 years and Charlotte spent 9 years at Goldman Sachs.  "It's great to work with such forward thinking ladies." says Charlotte Weaver.
