(Updated 7:44am 22nd January 2013)

Fire fighters preformed a daring rescue last night after a car left the road and ended up down a steep embankment on White Horse Hill at Osmington near Weymouth.

The roof of the car was cut off to free the 20-year-old male driver from the Weymouth area.

He was taken to hospital with only minor injuries.

A technical rescue team were also called out to ensure the safety of the emergency services during the operation.
