Second Charity Auction Date for Dorset's Children's Hospice

5:36pm 23rd January 2013

A leading Dorset charity wants your collectables for their popular auction

Following the success of their first event last year Julia's House is hosting just its second auction in March.

They're appealing for ceramics, glass and other interesting bric-a-brac which might be worthy of going under the hammer.

A small brown vase, that turned out to be a piece by Bernard Leach, raised 1 thousand 600 pounds for the Children's Hospice last year.

Among lots picked out so far for the 2013 auction is a solid silver limited edition goblet commissioned by Westminster Abbey to commemorate the wedding of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

It has an auction estimate of £300-£400.

There will be two viewing days ahead of the auction on Monday, March 11 from noon to 5pm and on Tuesday March 12 from 9am to 5pm. A catalogue will also be available online.

Items can be donated to any of the charity's shops or call 01202 644220 to arrange collection.
