LISTEN: Four, Including Teenage Girl, Arrested Over Car Fire in Littlemoor

Four people, including 3 teenagers, have been arrested over a car fire near Weymouth.

Dorset Fire and Rescue responded to 18 emergency calls of a car blaze in Beverly Road, Littlemoor at around 4.15am this morning (28th January).

The car was completely destoryed and a nearby building suffered smoke damage.

Dorset Police has told Wessex FM 4 people have been arrested in connection with the incident. A 40 year old man, 19 year old man, 16 year old boy and a 15 year old girl.

All are helping Officers with their enquiries which are ongoing.

There have been a number of vehicle fires in Littlemoor over the past few weeks, and last weeks latest crime figures ,released by the Office for National Statistics, showed an 11% increase in vehicle crime across the County.

Speaking to Wessex FM when the figures were released Dorset's Police and Crime Commissioner Martyn Underhill sais, he was concerned over the recent spate of fires.
