A Good Samaritan has come forward to help a woman in Weymouth, after hearing her story on Wessex FM.

We told you about Janet Cole who had her mobility scooter stolen and vandalised in Littlemoor last Sunday (20th January).

Phil Bartlett from Active Mobility in Weymouth, heard the story on Wessex FM and has been in touch with Janet who's been left stranded, and he's offered her a replacement one free of charge.

He says she bought the original from him, so he's happy to help; "We do like to look after our existing customers, we've offered to replace her vehicle with another from our fleet free of charge, it's sad for her so we just want to do whatever we can to help".

After hearing the news 56 year old Janet told Wessex FM she was over the moon; "I'm so thankful to you (Wessex FM) for arranging this and helping me. Now thanks to you I have my independence back".

Active Mobility have showrooms in Weymouth and Poundbury.
