As a well-known local musician he's used to playing scales - but now he's planning on scaling new heights.

Jack Daniels is going to attempt to climb Mount Kilimanjaro - and he's enlisted 14 of his friends to take on the challenge of a lifetime with him.

Jack's epic adventure will be raising money for the Steve Charles Help A Friend Fund - a charity set up in the memory of the late Dorchester musician.

Wessex FM will be officially supporting the climbers.

They are:

1. Jack Daniels
2. Benny Wain
3. Tommy Lillington
4. Badger Watts
5. James Kibbey
6. Donna Read
7. Tim Emberley
8. Lee Burton
9. Thomas Edwin Caulfield
10. Barney Stevens
11. Carole Landon
12. Paul Banks

15. Jaime Burton.
