Lambs Perish in West Dorset Flood Water

4 lambs have died after becoming trapped in fast moving floodwater near Bridport.
Dorset fire-fighters and specialist rescue teams tried to save 16 sheep at the incident near the River Char yesterday lunchtime (Sunday 10th February).
10 sheep and 2 lambs were herded to safety boats and taken away from flood waters.
Crews from Charmouth, Lyme Regis, Weymouth and Poole attended the emergency call to help the sheep.
Elsewhere, in a separate incident Dorset Fire and Rescue rescued 3 people from a car stuck in floodwater at Larkfield Caravan Park, Burton Bradstock at around 3:30pm.
No one was injured.
