A garden feature weighing 300 kilograms has been stolen near Beaminster.

The stone planter that measures 500 by 600 centimetres was taken from a property on High Street in Broadwindsor late last Thursday night (21st February).

What's astonishing is how thieves managed to take it considering its weight; 300kg is close to 50 stone!

Dorset Police is looking into how the square shaped water trough - that's worth 200 hundred pounds - was stolen from its home.

They're appealing for any witnesses to come forward and contact them on 101.
