Butchers Seeing Booming Trade In Bridport

Business may be booming for butchers in Bridport, but how long will it last?
That's the concern of traders fearful that supermarkets will hit back by sourcing British Beef and slashing prices.
An investigation by Wessex FM has found that footfall at Framptons of Bridport's up 15-20% on last month, according to owner Philip Frampton.
Nearby at Washingpool Farm shop, the shelves are having to be re-stocked more quickly, according to spokesman Simon Holland.
Both traders say customers are asking more about the origin of their beef before they buy. They agree good customer service is the key to keeping them.
