An expensive set of cutlery has been recovered as a result of an arrest by Police in Weymouth.

The teaspoons have gold inlays and distinctive engravings, and detectives say they may have been presented to somebody in the past.

Officers say it's possible the owners may have not yet realised the cutlery is missing.

Detective Constable Andy Marsh, of Weymouth CID, said: "Various items of cutlery have been recovered as a result of this arrest.

"Please contact us as soon as possible if you have any information that may assist with my investigation."

A 44-year-old Weymouth man has been released on police bail while enquires continue.
