A distraught mother is appealing for help to find a dangerous motorist after her daughter and friends narrowly escaped a head-on collision just outside Dorchester.
17 year old Katy Robinson was driving her 4 friends along the Martinstown to Upwey road near Winterbourne Monkton roundabout, on Monday (11th March) at around 2:30pm.
Soon after they'd tumbled 30 foot down an embankment after swerving out of the way of a speeding green coloured car.
The girls were left trapped in Katy's car - a blue Renault Clio (pic below) - and were rescued by the emergency services who had to cut them all free.
Luckily no one was seriously injured.
Katy told her Mum Joanne the green car must have been speeding at around 60mph. Click below to hear more from Joanne.
Joanne's praised the emergency services for rescuing the 5 girls; "They did an excellent job and i'd like to say thank you. And thank you to the people who stopped to help. Two people who were first on the scene even stayed with the girls and reassured them before ambulances arrived, just a huge thank you".
She hopes Katy manages to get behind the wheel again, and says rural roads can be a hazard and motorists need to kill their speed.
