Heed Cliff Walk Warning Signs Say Coastguards

Wet weather's prompted another warning about the state of cliffs along the Dorset coast.

Just this week another crack's been reported...this time near Bowleaze Cove, and its large at 150 feet long and 6 feet deep.

Portland Coastguards are renewing their call to anyone intending to walk along cliff areas to take heed of warning signs and not to venture into areas cordonned off, for their own safety, and that of others on the beach below.

They say recent rain's made landslips more likely. In the last few months a section of cliff fell down at Swanage and a woman died when rocks fell on top of her at Burton Bradstock.
