3 Dorset Beaches Fail To Pass Water Quality Standards

3 South Dorset beaches have fallen out of the Good Beach Guide after failing water standards.
Lyme Regis Church Cliff, Kimmeridge Bay and Charmouth West no longer meet the minimum European bathing measure.
The decline is being blamed on flood water pushing sewage out to sea.
Julie Hatcher is a Marine Awareness Officer for the Dorset Wildlife Trust at Kimmeridge Bay. She told Wessex FM people shouldn't be put off by the latest news.
"The problem with the water quality is only after heavy rain and is only localised in the bay, where the streams come into the sea. People shouldn't be put off; most are in the water when the sea is calm, clear and sunny. The main issue is with the water is after it's rained".
