Offensive Leaflets Posted Ahead Of Royal Visit

Charles 1

(Updated 1:43pm 4th May 2013)

Police are looking for activists who tried to upset the Royal Visit in Poundbury.

The Dorset Force has told us offensive material was posted through people's doors before Prince Charles visit yesterday (Friday 3rd May).

Manager of Bella Kitchens in Poundbury Tom Birch told us they tore up the flyer before Police collected it for evidence.

"When we arrived for work, we found a leaflet on the floor with Prince Charles' photo on it . With such a high Police presence around here we ripped it up and put it in the bin. About 10 minutes later they came by and we told them what we found. They collected it from the bin and took it away as evidence. It was pretty surprising and a bit worrying. We believe a few other businesses received similar flyers too".

Dorset Police are investigating and no one's been arrested yet.
