Alleged Road Rage Incident On Portland

There’s been an alleged incident of road rage on Portland.
Dorset Police says it happened around 6pm on Thursday at the junction of Reforne and Station Road.
A local man in his 40’s driving a silver Audi A4 says he was overtaken by a white VW Transporter with a large amateur radio aerial, which pulled across his path.
The driver and passenger of the van then got out, threatened the victim, took his car keys and threw them down the road.
No one was injured during the incident.
Police Constable Nick Gravenor, of Weymouth police, said: “At the time of the incident there were a number of other motorists including a bus in the area and I am appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
“I also urge anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle to contact Dorset Police.”
A 35-year-old Portland man was arrested in connection with this incident and released on bail pending further enquiries.
