£1.5million has been has been invested to improve Weymouth's Waterside Holiday Park and Spa.

It is all part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.

The people at the Waterside Holiday Group have renamed the Waves Bar the Waterside Sports Bar and modelled it on a classic American one which is open seven days a week.

The bar has ten 50 inch flat screens and two 42 inch TVs, showing Sky Sports and ESPN in high definition.

There will also be a new coffee shop with design not seen anywhere else in the UK, with a special area for toddlers, as well as a brand new holiday shop.

The accommodation at the Waterside Holiday Park and Spa has also been improved, with more caravans which are now centrally heated, double glazed and have two toilets.
