In a statement, Weymouth and Portland Inspector Les  Fry said ,on Thursday 13th June a 43 Year old Liverpool male caught the 4pm train from Manchester to Weymouth. By 20:30 pm that same day he was in the Police cells with a 37 year old Weymouth man both arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply controlled drugs. Officers seized 18ox of herbal cannabis and 2.4 grams of what is thought to be heroin from the pair during a search.

He continued" This is really good work and reflects our commitment to make Weymouth & Portland a better and safer place. We will continue to target all those involved in the supply of controlled drugs. There is a direct link between crime and the use and supply of controlled drugs and we will do all that we can to prevent people becoming the victim of crime. Much of our work in intelligence led and I would invite people to call or tell us who is supplying controlled drugs and we will act"
