Dorchester and Weymouth go in search of league wins while Bridport are in FA Vase action

In the local football, all 3 of our teams take to the road this afternoon (Saturday 7th September).

Dorchester Town are still looking for their first win of the season and have a good chance against fellow strugglers Concord Rangers.

The Magpies are second from bottom in the league but Manager Phil Simkin told us spirit in the dressing room is good;

"Morale is fine because we have experienced players who all know we have played well, they all take responsibility for the results, and they're confident boys. We feel we haven't had any luck this season ... We just need that one bit of luck to kick start the season for us."

Simkin is also looking forward to unveiling his new on-loan striker from Bournemouth who makes his debut against Concord Rangers.

"Aristede Veselle's a front player, big strong lad, a good player who'll start up front. I can't thank Bournemouth enough for helping us out this season."

Elsewhere, Weymouth will want to put their midweek loss behind them and get back to winning ways when they take on Hinckley.

Manager Brendon King told Wessex FM it's a tough league and they're putting theirmost recent loss behind them;

"The lads were pretty down afterwards the loss, we don't like losing. They know they didn't perform to the standards we aspire too and hopefully we'll put that right."

King also piled on the praise for their '12th man'.

"We have a pretty good following away from home and I know they'll be a fair few coming up to this game. Those lot that do, will be making a lot of noise for sure and we really appreciate that. Even though it's a fair old trip they'll be there and probably making more noise than the home fans - they're great!".

Bridport are away to Plymouth Parkway in the FA Vase 1st qualifying round.
