Magpies And Terras At Home, Bees Away
8:23am 9th November 2013
All 3 of our local teams are in action on this weekend of Remembrance for our Armed Forces (Saturday 9th November).
Dorchester Town are back on home soil after being thumped by Bromley in the league last weekend. The Magpies are still stuck on just 2 wins so far this season at the bottom of the table.
They're hosting Bath City who're on a 3 game win streak and currently 14th in the league. A win could lift Dorchester off the bottom of the table.
Elsewhere, it's better news across town in Weymouth who'll be full of confidence after a midweek win.
They could move into the Calour League top 10 with a victory over Hungerford Town at the Bob Lucas. Their opponents are one spot above the Terras in 1th place.
The Bob Lucas will all silent for a minute before kick-off to mark Remembrance Day and they're offering free admission to the match for serving armed forces personnel.
Manager Brendan King told Wessex FM it's an important day;
"I think it's a great gesture and hopefully one that's supported really well. Our armed forces full deserve it and I'm fully behind them, they do a great job for our country."
And Bridport are finding their form at the right time in the run up to Christmas with 3 back to back wins.
They take on Ilfracombe Town in the Toolstation League. Manager Trevor Senior told us they have a great chance to put a run of games together;
"Our next 4 or 5 league games are against teams around us, they're a point or two above or below us. It's important that we try and get 3 points from some of those leading up to Christmas."
