Dorchester Town are one win away from making the first round of the FA Trophy, but they'll have to get there without their star player.

AFC Bournemouth striker Brandon Goodship, who's on loan to the Magpies, injured his hamstring in first team practice this morning (Friday 15th November). The team physio has pulled him out of tomorrow’s crucial FA Trophy 3rd Qualifying Round match at Gosport Borough.

Speaking to Wessex FM just moments after hearing the news Dorchester manager Phil Simkin said it was a major blow to the team;

"Unfortunately I've had a call from Brandon Goodship, he's tweaked his hamstring and he's out of tomorrows match against Gosport. It's obviously a big blow for us, my heads still spinning."

The injured Goodship is the only front player with experience at the club.

A win tomorrow would net Dorchester £4,000 and Simkin knows he's got a tough decision to make;

"Now I'm gonna have to have a complete re-think for tomorrow’s game. I'm thinking of moving Jake Rowley into a forward area and pushing Josh Wakefield the other Bournemouth loanee behind him. I'm not sure yet."
