Waller Wins It For Dorset

8:15am 5th May 2014

A superb individual performance by Max Waller helped Dorset make a winning start to their Minor Counties Cricket 1 day knockout cup campaign.

The Somerset professional, loaned out to Dorset, top scored with 91 not out before taking 3 wickets as Dorset beat Wales by 32 runs at Dean Park, Bournemouth.

Batting first, Dorset made 176 all out in 48 overs, Waller carrying his bat throughout the innings.

The leg spinning allrounder then took 3-33 as Wales struggled to 144 all out. Tom Hicks also took 3 wickets.
