Race Director Alan Rose has announced Chris 'Macca' McCormack is considering joining them, and if he does it will raise the global profile of not only the event, but also of Weymouth.

'Macca' has 12 Ironman victories to his name, has won more than 200 races around the world since 1993 and has broken the 8-hourmark on four occasions.

Challenge Weymouth which takes place on September 14th, has already attracted entries including previous Challenge UK winners Stephen Bayliss and Gina Crawford.
