Cricket - Dorset Takes On Hampshire Today

8:51am 8th May 2014

Some of England's top cricket players will feature in Hampshire's squad when they take on Dorset today.

Club Captain Jimmy Adams, T20 Captain and England Lion James Vince and England's Michael Carberry and Danny Briggs will feature in the action at Dean Park.

The first match starts at 12.30pm this lunchtime but before that 180 local school children will play a Kwik Cricket Tournament.

Team manager Giles White said:
"Dean Park has been the venue for many special moments in the Club's history so it is fitting that we get the opportunity to play at Dean Park in what is the Club's 150th Anniversary year. It's a match all the lads are looking forward I'm sure it'll be a great day.
"The match will also be an important fixture in the preparations for our NatWest T20 Blast campaign so we intend to take a strong side to Bournemouth and I'm sure Dorset will provide strong opposition."
