We all know that Brazil is hosting the Football World Cup, but did you know that many youngsters over there have only ever seen football boots on the TV?

And now thanks to your generosity - that's about to change.

We asked you to donate your old football boots and you've done us proud. We've collected 400 pairs that will soon be on their way to Brazil.

Our very own James O'Neill and national treasure Dave Goulden packed your footy boots into our Wessex FM van and drove them to the main dop off collection point yesterday (Wednesday 11th June).

Chris Sharman from Challenger Sports says the youngsters there will be overwhelmed.

"For them what we take forgranted is something they've never had access to.  I've been privileged to hand over a pair of football boots to a child that's never had one, and to see their face..is phenomenal and that's the reason why we came up with the campaign really."

Wessex FM's Programme Manager and Breakfast Show presenter James O'Neill says, 'We wanted to do something a little different in the run up to the World Cup, and the Boots 2 Brazil campaign will be Dorset's effort to help the football mad children in Brazil play their favourite sport, while the rest of the world watches the tournament'.
