Chalk Lines Go Down on Dorchester's Grass Tennis Court

Tennis

7:33am 25th June 2014

Pristine lawn tennis is just hours away from being served up in Dorchester.

The white lines for 2 youth courts are being painted on the old bowls green in Borough Gardens today after months of planning.

The grass tennis courts will be free to use and adults can play badminton on them too.

Dorchester Town Council has told us they should be good to go, by tomorrow (Thursday 26th June).

The decision to create the courts was made in an effort to stamp out anti-social behaviour after a number of incidents were reported on the green.
