Tonight will see the recently rejuvenated One Step Beyond play their second qualifying game in the Butcombe British Championships. One Step Beyond’s last game was a huge win against The Cider Heads but we are going to need to find that fine form again against The Basin.

Already on one rung of the ladder of success we will hopefully climb that ladder a little bit more and not fall down that pesky snake of disappointment. We saw too many of those Snakes last year and are hoping 2014 is snake free and one we reach the top.

Confidence is high in camp One Step Beyond and morale will be boosted by the news we have a full team to pick from. The evening’s game may see a debut for Alan Mutch and a return to the lineup for Chris Apsey and long term injury victim Greg Black.

Greg Black went on record to say

“I can’t wait to get back into the team. I loved watching my team beat The Cider Heads last game but watching from the sidelines is hard. I desperately wanted to play and was very disappointed not be in the team but on hindsight I wasn’t ready but now I’m fit I just want to be back on the alley knocking down those pins”

Captain Chris Saddington followed up with

“Another win Friday night is going to put us into serious contention to make the finals in Torquay. We welcome The Basin to Wyke Regis Social Club and are looking forward to a great game”
