Magpies Game Abandoned

Magpies Game Abandoned

Published at 8:16am 30th July 2014.

Dorchester's pre-season friendly against Portland was abandoned last night after Magpies player Tony Rolls suffered a serious knock to the head.

He's now had a brain scan and been given the all clear.

Meanwhile, Weymouth's excellent pre-season continued with a deserved 3 -1 victory over Conference Premier side Torquay United.

Ed Palmer gave the Terras a 1-0 half time lead.

The gulls drew level early in the 2nd half before George Rigg scored a brace to make it 6 wins out of 7 in pre-season games.

And at the Commonwealth Games Portland's Jay Lelliott finished 6th in the 1500 metres freestyle final.
