Rugby Rivals Field 'Joint' Womens' Team

Rugby Ladies

8:20am 17th September 2014

Local rivalries have been put aside as Dorchester Rugby Club and Weymouth and Portland Rugby Club promote woman's rugby in the local area.

Until last season, both sides were struggling for players. Therefore, both sides have decided to combine their resources and play as one team.

The league have accepted this and Club Secretaries Chris Davis and Andrew Smith are both very enthusiastic about the initiative.

With a squad now of 26 players, Club Secretary of Weymouth and Portland Rugby Club said "The prospects look very encouraging."
