Karting CLay Pigeon

(Updated 1:55pm 22nd September 2014)

1:54pm 22nd September 2014

Luke Barton (No.18) of Dorchester beat Charlie Bruce-White (current UK Super One No.2) to win the Senior TKM final at Clay Pigeon last Sunday.

Luke, who made a brave overtaking move on the penultimate lap, moved from third to first and hung on to cross the line first beating Charlie by 0.080 sec. Luke also managed to clock the fastest lap of 35.520

Its Luke’s first full year of racing, despite dropping a round due to GCSE’s.

It had been close all day with Luke achieving 2nd, 3rd and 3rd during the heats and Charlie 1st, 2nd and 4th.

This resulted in Charlie (Pole) and Luke starting on the first row of the grid.

The final was close fought between the top four drivers (from a grid of fourteen) namely Charlie Bruce-White, Tom Hackett, Luke Barton and Will Davies.

Unfortunately Charlie and Will had a coming together in the closing stages of the 16 lap race resulting in Will spinning out.

2nd          Charlie Bruce-White       9:35:920

3rd           Tom Hackett                      9:36:330
