Purbeck Marathon Increases Charitable Donations

Purbeck Marathon

9:13am 30th October 2014

Both runners and sponsors went the whole distance at this year's Purbeck Marathon, helping the community event break their fundraising records.

The 'marathon' effort means organisers can increase their charitable donation to £6000, which is 50% more than last year.

Race Director for The Purbeck Marathon Rose Clarke said: "We are extremely pleased that we have been able to increase our level of donations and include more worthy organisations. What's more, many of the runners were running for charity so many more organisations will have benefitted from this event."

Helping the local community from the donations is one of the objectives of The Purbeck Marathon.

The organisers have already started planning the next event which is scheduled for Sunday 20 September 2015.

Entries will be available from 15 October 2014 through www.thepurbeckmarathon.co.uk.
