A Dorset shooting range that helped a local Olympic gold medallist will no longer be offering other Olympic hopefuls the chance to train.

Peter Wilson won gold in the double trap event at the London Olympics after training at the Southern Counties shooting centre, but now he and others will no longer be able to practice there.

The shooting range between Dorchester and Yeovil - that's been running for the last 60 years - has announced on its website that its now closed for practice and competitions.

Southern Counties will still keep offering lessons and "Have a Go" sessions at clay shooting for individuals or groups.
