It's a New Year and for Dorchester FC it's also a new manager after news broke on Wessex FM that former boss Graham Kemp was standing down.

We've been speaking to club legend Mark Jermyn who's taking over as player/manager.

He says the fans have been welcoming him back with open arms.

He told us: "They've received me really well and I've had great levels of support and a lot of well wishes. Even now I'm getting a lot of text messages, phone calls and emails saying there's a level of support there for me."

"My long standing with the club meant it was a bit of a no-brainer to take the position. It's also good for me for experience because these opportunities don't come around too often."

"Now I'm just looking at what we can do for the future."

Mark will be in charge for the team's away fixture against Truro City on 24th January.
