Local Football: Today's Fixtures And A New Manager

Craig Laird has been named the new man in charge of the Magpies after Mark Jermyn stood down last week.

In local football, Dorchester Town make the trip to Basingstoke Town this afternoon.

Craig Laird has been named the new man in charge of the Magpies after Mark Jermyn stood down last week.

Craig has had spells in charge of Bridgewater Town, Weston-Super-Mare and most recently Yate Town.

He'll take over from Tuesday - with Stuart Heath and Nathan Walker in charge of today's game for Dorchester.

In a statement on their website - the club say other appointments will be announced in the next few weeks.

Elsewhere Weymouth are at home to Cirencester Town.

Portland United are away to Lymington Town tomorrow.

And Bridport's next game is on Saturday at home to Shepton Mallet.
