Tres Barriles Predators 43 - 63 Weymouth Bandits

Weymouth Bandits travelled to Portsmouth to take on the predators at Charter Community sports centre on Friday night. The Bandits were looking to keep their unbeaten run going but the Predators had other thoughts.

Into the first quarter and the teams were on par defensively with five minutes going by before the any points were on the board. Tres Barriles were the ones to hit the mark first with a layup followed by a quick 3 pointer from the corner. Six minutes in and at last the Bandits got moving with two points from the mighty Mark Gorman. The hosts hit back immediately with another two points before the visitors found their range. The Bandits dominated the scoring for the remainder of the quarter scoring nine of the next eleven points with baskets from Louis Weaver, Jim De Bertrand, Scott White and Gorman getting an and one. However this still left the visitors short by one ending the quarter 11 - 10 in favour of the Predators.

The Bandits came out in the second with all guns blazing as they took the first three baskets. Captain Chris Canham led the way with Josh Westlake and White netting the others. The Predators then got back in the game but two 3 pointers from Tom Storey and Canham pushed the visitors to a nine point lead going in to the break.

Into the third and the bandits defence was proving hard for the hosts to break down. More baskets from Gorman, Weaver and White were taking their toll on the Predators as the visitors increased their lead to fourteen.

The final quarter saw the highest point's tally of the whole game. The two teams started trading shots as De Bertrand, Westlake and Weavers baskets were matched by the hosts. The Bandits started to increase their lead with a Shot from Storey and Canham getting another and one. The referees had had a quiet game, allowing the game to run, but in this quarter had to up their work as quick succession fouls came about from both teams. The Bandits kept pushing and finished the game strong with more points from Gorman, White, Canham and Carl Carter getting on the sheet.
