Dorchester Town have confirmed that both Franklyn Clarke and Matt Oldring have left the club with immediate effect.

The club has wished both players well.

The news has been broken by a statement on Dorchester Town's website. It reads:

"Dorchester Town FC can confirm that both Franklyn Clarke and Matt Oldring have left the club with immediate effect.

"Franklyn made himself a fans favourite after he notched a deserved late leveller to give Dorchester Town a 2-2 draw on his debut against rivals Weymouth on Boxing Day last season.

"After a brief spell away at York City, he rejoined the Magpies in November after making two first team appearances for the Minstermen.

"Matt has been a model player and proved himself to be a real winner since signing from Bashley in October 2014. Another fans favorite, who wore his heart on his sleeve, always gave 100% in every game he played.

"Franklyn and Matt Leave with our very best wishes for the future and we thank them both for all their efforts."
